Terms of Use

1. Licence

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Dots on Apple devices that you own or control, in accordance with these Terms and the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. You must not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, or create derivative works from the app except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by applicable law.

2. Free Version and Dots Pro

Dots is free to download and use with a limited set of features. "Dots Pro" is an optional paid upgrade that unlocks additional features such as unlimited actions, the full year heatmap, extended insights, the shareable year recap, custom colours, and per-entry notes. Free-tier limits and Pro features may change over time as the app evolves.

3. Subscription Terms

Dots Pro is offered as an auto-renewing subscription, available on a monthly or yearly basis. The following terms apply:

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• The subscription automatically renews for the same period unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the price of the selected plan.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your device's App Store account settings.
• Current prices are shown in the app and on the App Store before purchase and may vary by region.

Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with the App Store's policies; we are not able to process App Store refunds directly.

4. Your Content and Data

Content you create in Dots (your actions, entries, notes, and settings) belongs to you and is stored on your device, with optional syncing through your own private iCloud account. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups (for example, via iCloud). How we handle data is described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Intellectual Property

The app itself, including its design, code, trademarks, and all related intellectual property rights, remains the exclusive property of Programavimo ekspertas, MB. These Terms do not grant you any rights in our trademarks or branding.

6. Updates and Availability

We may release updates to improve Dots or keep it compatible with new versions of iOS and iPadOS. We do not guarantee that the app will be compatible with every future device or OS version. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the app or any of its features at any time.

7. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

Dots is a personal journaling and habit-tracking tool provided "as is", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. It is not a medical, psychological, or professional advisory service. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including your statutory consumer rights.

8. Apple App Store

These Terms are between you and Programavimo ekspertas, MB only, and not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. To the extent these Terms provide otherwise, Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. Your use of the app must also comply with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page and take effect upon posting. Your continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. These Terms are effective as of July 21, 2026.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have in your country of residence.
